Free Trade and Tariff Reform
edit"He was a supporter of Free Trade and Tariff Reform". There is a contradiction in here: Tariff Reform was a policy held by many Conservatives and Unionists because they opposed Free Trade. A New Zealand newspaper puts Dumphreys clearly on the side of Tariff Reform.[1] --Rumping (talk) 18:20, 23 June 2012 (UTC)
- Just reading the Times referenced in the article and is clear he was a supporter of tariff reform, seeing it as a way of alleviating unemployment in Bermondsey by "manufacturing the goods we now import".Lozleader (talk) 21:23, 23 June 2012 (UTC)
