I heard of John Garrie Roshi several years ago from people who had studied under him (he used to live in this part of the world). Then in recent weeks I saw the name John Garrie in the cast list of a couple of old cult TV programmes on ITV4. That made me wonder if it was the same person. I looked on Wikipedia, but there wasn't an article. However, having looked on other web pages I am now 99% sure they are one and the same person. If so I feel he is notable enough to have an article here. I hope there's someone out there who knows more about him than I do and can fill in more details (or correct any inadvertent mistakes).
