@Antiquary: thank you for writing this article. I have read through it and have no corrections. I think it would be useful to add a bulleted list of his publications, with publisher, date and ISBN – this could help students of his work. Does this WorldCat search give accurate results? Glad it passes muster. I agree that a list of his works would be a good idea, in fact I can't think why I didn't include one in the first place. I'm going to be rather busy over the next few days (this is the marmalade-making season) but I'm sure I can get that done before next week. --Antiquary (talk) 21:51, 20 January 2021 (UTC)Reply

It would also be good to add a photograph of him. Are you aware of any available with a free licence? If no free picture is available then we could add a fair-use image, possibly the cover photo from William Lewis's book.[1] Even with a fair-use image we should credit the photographer if possible: if you have a copy of this book then please check if it gives the photographer's name. I did look for free-licence images but couldn't find any, and didn't go down the fair-use route because I have no experience of it. I agree that the photo from William Lewis's book would be ideal, but I don't have that book and can't name the photographer. I feel a little out of my depth here. Do you mind if I leave it in your hands, Verbcatcher?
I would have thought it incredible that Wikipedia had no article on John Gwilym Jones if I hadn't seen, as you must have, how completely English-language media ignore even the greatest Welsh-language writers. If Jones had been an Italian or a German the article would have been far easier to research. --Antiquary (talk) 21:51, 20 January 2021 (UTC)Reply
