   As to the entry for JPH's father, the format Gl'f's replaced with may not be used in a Dab, per MoSDab: piping in Dabs is good for showing bold &/or italics that reflect titles of works, but when a whole article is the target, piping may not conceal that page's title.

instead, AFAICan see, guidelines permit any of the 3. I prefer #1 as a means of reducing confusion (e.g., #3 invites confusion about whether he's ever referred to with the "Jr." -- not usually, in fact -- or perhaps got in via a clerical error, and either #2 or #3 subliminally invites the confusing impression that he's yet another John Henry Hays Hammond). If Gl'f's wants #2 or #3 enuf to change it again, i disagree but will leave it to anyone else interested to debate it any further.
