Orphaned at wich age??
editI only made the photo of the grave, so I'm not really an Anderson-expert, but the article says, he was an orphan at the age of ten. The stone on the grave says his mother died 1830, so he was 16, or do I miss something here? Thanks - Tom Soulman hh (talk) 10:32, 10 January 2008 (UTC)
Qi
editOn the quiz show Qi, series 1, episode 3, they have mentioned John Henry Anderson to be nicknamed 'The Wizard of the North'. They also claimed he was the first to perform the rabbit out of a hat trick. I wondered if we take QI into significance? Some of this may be here: List of QI episodes (A series) Unwisely (talk) 14:16, 31 May 2008 (UTC)
- QI isn't always a reliable source of information. My partner is a scientist and pointed out to me in one show that they made a couple of significant goofs over the history of her particular specialism. So I guess you could report what QI said, but it would have to be just that, an account of what QI said rather than using QI as a source for an assertion that he was the first to do the trick.Circusandmagicfan (talk) 09:48, 1 June 2008 (UTC)Circusandmagicfan
