• Andronikos launched an invasion of Thessaly, but his troops were annihilated by malaria, and in the next year (1284 or 1285), John took his revenge by invading Epirus This wording made me initially think that John's revenge was against the Byzantines and not the Epirotes.

No, nothing that I can think of. Although I actually do know a little about the period so I may not be the best person to ask. I do, however, get a bit confused about the Latin Greek states and their leaders in the next century, if you're of a mind to tackle them.--Sturmvogel 66 (talk) 01:17, 28 January 2017 (UTC)
