Comptroller of the Currency?

edit

It doesn't say anywhere in the article that this guy was comptroller of the currency, only the treasury. Yet it has a succession box thing at the bottom for comptroller of the currency. Could someone clarify this, I'm confused. Is it a mistake? Aaarggh! Spongefrog (talk) 19:52, 6 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

I've rewritten and it should be clear now. Hey, it only took 8 years!!! Best, —tim /// Carrite (talk) 07:45, 17 August 2017 (UTC) Ping: SpongefrogReply

Why the "Jr"?

edit

Usually "Jr." is appended when the son has the same name as the father. In this case, the father is James J. Knox and the son is John Jay Knox. I don't think there should be a "Jr." here. Library of Congress does not list him with the "Jr." (see https://lccn.loc.gov/n88649301 ).

Corrected father's name based on their two headstones here https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/51672016/john-jay-knox and here https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/33865761/john-jay-knox Bookgrrl holler/lookee here 17:14, 3 December 2019 (UTC)Reply
