Copyright?

edit

This page seems a direct copy of Kotter's Harvard page. I intend to edit it over the next few days, so this will be resolved. Natebailey 10:05, 21 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

In its current form, it now seems to be a direct copy of http://www.kotterinternational.com/aboutus/bios/john-kotter, and I am about to tag it as such.Boogerpatrol (talk) 16:17, 7 August 2013 (UTC)Reply
Boogerpatrol That source has a been OK'd (above), but there's two more sources copy/pasted in. The best action may be to cut the article right down unless two more copyright OKs are processed. Widefox; talk 15:23, 7 October 2013 (UTC)Reply

Conflict of interest

edit

Please would those editors with a link with the subject please read WP:COI, disclose their COI on their account and edit in accordance with those guidelines. Widefox; talk 12:52, 22 August 2013 (UTC)Reply

I apologize, as someone on our team edited the page. I have re-edited it to fit within the policy, but only now saw the COI issue. Please review the content and you will see the content now falls within Wikipedia guidelines. I will not edit the page again. (70.89.125.57 (talk) 22:45, 4 October 2013 (UTC))Reply

Thanks, please can you read the COI guideline, particularly disclosure of all the COI editors on this page and their talk pages. If you don't have an account it's quick to create one and then linking which IPs belong to whom. I removed all the issues that are fixed, but this article needs a serious purge of all the sales info, do you even have a reference for WP:BLP's age? Currently it is a SPAM article with possible copyright problems that should be cut right down or just deleted pending being build on WP:SECONDARY sources as per policy. Looks like the Public Relations Department for this gentleman is back to work here. BeenAroundAWhile (talk) 08:18, 25 October 2019 (UTC)Reply

Wish to Resolve Outstanding Issues

edit

I work for Dr. Kotter and he has asked that I work with editors to resolve issues on his page. Is there any information I can provide to help verify the information below? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Camw104 (talkcontribs) 15:36, 28 July 2014 (UTC)Reply

  • Support removing tags on article, as over the past year or so, the advertising & NPOV issues with the article have been improved dramatically. As far as the primary sourcing, only 4/19 existing sources are primary, and only 2 of those are substantial, with 2 simply linking to books he has written, with no dispute that they exist, makng the article appear acceptable per WP:SELFSOURCE Additionally, the WP:COI editing seems to be working within policy now, with discussions like the one above being started here on talk by involved parties. In fact, I think I will be WP:BOLD & remove the tags for now; if there is opposition to this please feel free to make it known... Roberticus talk 16:18, 28 August 2014 (UTC)Reply

I am an employee of JOhn Kotter trying to help clean up his page and follow the rules in doing so. I don't see why we have the alerts at the top of Kotter's page? I have pasted the alerts below. Please help as soon as possible, thanks. ALERTS MENTIONED: "A major contributor to this article appears to have a close connection with its subject. (October 2019) HOW DO I FIX THIS? This article contains wording that promotes the subject in a subjective manner without imparting real information. (October 2019) WHAT WORDING??? PLEASE BE SPECIFIC. This article may have been created or edited in return for undisclosed payments, a violation of Wikipedia's terms of use. (October 2019)" HOW DO I NOTE THIS ON PREVIOUS EDITS TO THE PAGE WHERE IT WASN'T MENTIONED? — Preceding unsigned comment added by NatashaKICamb (talkcontribs) 13:38, 14 September 2020 (UTC)Reply
