I've added a {{fact}} tag to the article. Correct me if I'm wrong, but the "Black Acts" were 49 acts of the Scots Parliament passed in 1584, one of which is most famous as an assertion of James VI's control over the clergy. These were negated by the "Golden Act" of 1592. Is there another famous/notable "Black Acts", printed in 1566? If so, remove my tag and please comment here (I'll return to read it). Else, the mention of "Black Acts" should be deleted, as it is misleading and inaccurate. Regards, Notuncurious (talk) 21:57, 22 February 2008 (UTC)Reply
- Don't know, but the text is copied from EB1911 so it is from a verifiable reliable source. If you think EB1911 is wrong then you will need to do some investigation and come up with a more modern reliable source to challenge it. -- PBS (talk) 02:32, 13 September 2010 (UTC)Reply
