Update

Over the next few weeks I am intending to revamp this article. At the moment I feel that it is a very small article given the size of the business. There seem to be many lists on the page, and it is disorganised. There are bits of information missing as well. I know this was previously discussed before about having a list of the stores. I know that each store is not notable and therefore doesn't have an article, however, if anyone is able to find articles for indivdual stores then please post these on the talk page, at least its a start towards having some sort of index of what articles we have for the branches. If anyone wants to contribute then please give information on the talk page, all ideas are welcome. Regards DrMotley (talk) 10:44, 6 October 2010 (UTC)

On another note; there is a distinguish tag at the top to Lewis's. I don't know how much confusion there is over these names. I know some people do refer to John Lewis as Lewis' but it doesn't happen reguarly. Just wondering on what everyone else's opinion was on this? DrMotley (talk) 12:09, 6 October 2010 (UTC)

I realise it has been quite a while since I said I was going to be updating the article. Due to various reasons I have been unable to, and ended up leaving the article looking like a bit of a mess. I've now completed the majority of the update which I wanted to achieve. There are a load of improvements which I eventually would like to include, such as financial status, a better picture gallery, and more information of the format of the stores and what they offer. Adverts & Christmas Adverts

I think we should probably start putting information into the main page regarding the recent (last few years) television adverts as they have become relatively culturally significant with the launch on the latest advert being a large media event.
