Kohima Epitaph
editIn the section Talk:Battle of Kohima#Kohima Epitaph there is an email from the CWGC explaining who wrote what when. This is not published source, but it makes clear that the line on the Kohima Epitaph while similar to those written by John Maxwell Edmonds were actually written by Major John Etty-Leal, the G.S.O.II of the British 2nd Division, imprecisely remembering what Edmonds had previously published. And to complicate matters two different versions of Etty-Leal's were literally carved in stone. The email is of course not a reliable published source, and so to use its content directly would be a breach of OR. However is someone is interested no doubt this information has been previously published in reliable sources, and just needs someone to research it. -- PBS (talk) 00:22, 3 February 2015 (UTC)
