Date of Birth

edit

There seems to be some controversy regarding John McGeoch's date of birth. I have changed the date given in the article back to May 28 as this is the date provided by several national newspapers: [1], [2], [3]. These are all reliable sources, and they all agree on one date. In the absence of hard evidence, I think that these sources are the best way to go for now. Rje (talk) 15:15, 7 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Good work. --John (talk) 18:11, 7 July 2008 (UTC)Reply
But according to his daughter Emily, he was born in August. Francodamned (User talk:Francodamned|talk)

McGeoch also played on Peter Murphy's first solo album 'should the world fail to fall apart' released in 1986. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.191.10.214 (talk) 22:37, 27 May 2015 (UTC)Reply

Linking

edit

WP:OVERLINK is normally interpreted to allow one link in the lead, one in the body, and one in the infobox. --John (talk) 15:56, 21 September 2017 (UTC)Reply

Correct. However we already had one link in lead, one in body, and one in infobox. You were adding a second link in body. Superfluous. Greg Fasolino (talk) 15:59, 21 September 2017 (UTC)Reply
