Nationality and place of birth

edit

Not only was Northern Ireland not in existence at the time of McKenna's birth, the man was born in County Monaghan which (although part of the historic nine county province of Ulster) has been part of the Republic of Ireland since partition. Can we please keep the political agendas out of wikifootball.

Copyedit February 2014

edit

Hello ! I did some copyediting in the article. I detected a real lack of citations and dates. If you feel capable of doing it, please do! :) Cheers, Thouny (talk) 02:39, 3 February 2014 (UTC)Reply

Reference Errors

edit

Hi, I added a citation to the article the first day I signed up, and I thought it was included in the ref. list that is at the bottom of the page. But then I got this message:

Hello, I'm ReferenceBot. I have automatically detected that an edit performed by you may have introduced errors in referencing. It is as follows:

On the John McKenna page, your edit caused a missing references list (help | help with group references). (Fix | Ask for help) Please check this page and fix the errors highlighted. If you think this is a false positive, you can report it to my operator. Thanks, ReferenceBot (talk) 00:26, 11 April 2014 (UTC)

And I don't know what I did wrong, or how to change it. Help?? ClaireG2014 (talk) 14:45, 17 April 2014 (UTC)Reply
