Year of birth
editThe site credited with providing McMartin's year of birth (http://www.filmreference.com/film/11/John-McMartin.html) does no such thing. The year provided there is 1959 (ridiculous), not 1929. My own research in the 1930 census records online and Intelius has indicated that McMartin could have been as early as 1922 or 1923. There is insufficient evidence at this time to decide what year he was born. Rms125a@hotmail.com (talk) 12:56, 17 March 2010 (UTC)

Year of death
editHis AP obituary see [1] says he was aged 86 which would be consistent with a late 1929 - early 1930 birth. Capitalistroadster (talk) 00:15, 8 July 2016 (UTC)
Date of birth
editA lot of sources say he was born on November 18, 1929. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 207.237.34.211 (talk) 03:05, 8 July 2016 (UTC)
- The New York Times reports his birth date as November 18, 1929. They're usually accurate on matters of birth dates and death dates in obituaries. — Quicksilver (Hydrargyrum)T @ 03:55, 11 July 2016 (UTC)
