Royal Commission on the Ancient and Historical Monuments of Wales

edit

John Morris-Jones was an early Commissioner for the Royal Commission on the Ancient and Historical Monuments of Wales, which is not noted within this article. Would it be possible for someone to add something regarding his work at the Commission?[1] Thanks, Charles.rcahmw (talk) 16:37, 29 November 2016 (UTC)Reply

Do you have a source that we can cite, preferably available online? Verbcatcher (talk) 18:30, 29 November 2016 (UTC)Reply

I meant a source that confirms the claim that you were asking to be added! The RCAHMW is not mentioned in this DWB article, nor in his ODNB article. However I have found two sources. One is a copy of his commission from King George V dated 1920 in a RCAHMW book from 1921. This is is close to being a primary source, so I have also cited a modern book that names Morris-Jones as a commissioner in the context of him being replaced by J. E. Lloyd in 1930. It seems likely that Morris-Jones remained a commissioner until his death in 1929, but we don't have a source that says this. Verbcatcher (talk) 23:44, 30 November 2016 (UTC)Reply
