Missal for Jesuit Saints
editI don't know on exactly what historical authority, but the missal for Jesuit Saints says that John Ogilvie joined the Jesuits in 1599. It would be very unlikely that he would join the Jesuits on the date given and be ordained just two years later. 62.49.64.66 (talk) 14:09, 10 March 2011 (UTC) Yes. --Richardson mcphillips (talk) 15:39, 10 March 2015 (UTC)
feast day
editThe man died on March 10, but his feast is a) not on the General Calendar of the Roman Church and b) celebrated on Oct. 14 by the Society of Jesus. Unless any speak against, I will change it to Oct. 14. --Richardson mcphillips (talk) 15:34, 10 March 2015 (UTC)
- a slight correction, his feast in Scotland is on March 10, but in the general SJ is on Oct. 14. --Richardson mcphillips (talk) 22:20, 10 March 2015 (UTC)
Patron Saint
editThe unsourced line about him being the patron saint of young people and people with AIDS has been removed, because I suspect that this is a deliberate hoax. There is nothing about this in AmericanCatholic.org, CatholicSaints.org, Catholic Encyclopedia, or the Catholic Dictionary. If it is to be restored it will need a verifiable source.
