Removal from Menlo Church

edit

Ortberg was temporarily removed from his position in Menlo Church when it was revealed by his son that he has allowed a paedophile to work with children, and helped to cover up for this person. I feel this warrants inclusion in the article. Euchrid (talk) 04:25, 4 March 2020 (UTC)Reply

I feel that Ortberg's success as an author and well-known status in the evangelical community merits a Wikipedia article. He is already mentioned in the TNIV article. --Malortberg 00:57, 15 January 2007 (UTC)Reply

Excised From Article

edit

I removed this sentence from the article. It didn't seem to fit, but if someone feels that it belongs, go ahead and add it back in.

Ortberg has notably spoken out in favor of the recent TNIV translation of the Bible as well as for the Renovaré renewal movement. --Megaboz (talk) 22:08, 9 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

I Removed the sections "Separation of church and state/religious freedom" and "education" as they were not about Ortberg at all, and thus did not belong in this article. Sharktacos (talk) 18:00, 5 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

WP:BLPSPS would seem to forbid the use of Danny Lavery's tweets and newsletters here. Should they be removed? Belteshazzar (talk) 06:13, 29 June 2020 (UTC)Reply
