- son of John Anderson Arbuthnott.
- Married with one son and two daughters.
Notes and problems with this article.
- Rather dense formatting on original article. I have assumed that when a title (such as "chm") is used, it applies to all further entries until another is introduced. I assumed that "Tst" in "Scottish Science Tst" stands for "Trust". Don't know what "AFRC" or "CVCP" are so I left them unexpanded.
- This passage defeats me: "MRIA 1985; FIBiol 1988; FRSA 1989; FRSE 1993; FIIB 1993; FRCPath 1995; Hon FRCPGlasg". I am assumming that these are some sort of academic honors, as they immediately follow the honorary fellowship at trinity. What they stand for puzzles me, as I'm sure it will many readers of the article. I hope that someone will come along who knows what all that is, and flesh it out.
- Publications... where it said "(jtly)" I used "Arbuthnot, John Peeples, et al". I don't know if that is right, and I suspect not, but not knowing the names of the other authors I wasn't sure what to do.
For reference here is the original article:
