  1. A minimal Dab entry consists of
_ a red-link, used by an existing article, to a potential article that would -- if it weren't for all those annoying topics that are also contending for the title, and actually have articles -- have the title that the Dab has, and
_ a blue lk to an article that has information on the topic the redlink refers to, sufficient to aid a user in researching the topic elsewhere.
(The logic of this is that Dabs exist solely to disambiguate titles that
_ might be used for topics that we actually cover, or
_ are worthy of being covered by us -- so that the red/blue-combination lk can facilitate creation of such an article or addressable passage.)
Since Dab pages also may not include either refs or external links, the following former entry is a posterchild for non-compliance with Dab standards:
John Poe was a prospector, and in 1870' founded the mining town Poeville, Nevada <ref> History Of Washoe County (1912) (lower half of page)</ref> <ref> Peavine Peak - Geology, Plants, and Mining History Top page 3</ref>
named places in the U.S. probably run to around a 5 or 6 figures, and for each there may be a record of the last person to put up the only tent or clear the only field, then hang around until people who raised kids there arrived. Most of those people are non-notable.
  2. The ref provided for John Poe (musician) was
    <ref>Gracenote: Artist > Guadalcanal Diary</ref>
While Gracenote, Inc. now is apparently a subsidiary of Sony, and strongly suggests that it does not currently accept new info from critics (even recognized, rather than self-declared ones, but rather only from labels), nothing in our article insinuates that it is a reliable source.
In any case, here is what the ref could contribute to a bio on Poe:
he was a drummer in Guadalcanal Diary
A bio with that ref and that info would be speedy-deleted, or converted to a Rdr to the band.
