Redirecting this article
editHi Kges1901, regarding this revert, I worry that you've been taken in by the number of sources vs. their quality. As I wrote when I originally PRODed this, "No evidence of notability amid scattered minor mentions in a few books. The only potential significant mention I've found is in Raymond Cheung's Aces of the Republic of China Air Force, but I can't get a full Google Books preview and it's only the one source." You can also read more about the wider issues in this MILHIST post. Ed [talk] [majestic titan] 04:08, 29 August 2023 (UTC)
- I found a copy of Cheung's book and I consider the amount of detail significant coverage. It's very likely that coverage exist in Chinese. --Kges1901 (talk) 13:35, 29 August 2023 (UTC)
- @Kges1901: Thanks, I appreciate you tracking that down. I'm still not convinced this is notable without proof of significant coverage in Chinese-language sources, but in the meantime can you use the book to verify what you can in this article so we can prune the info cited to very unreliable sources? - Searching his Chinese name[1] brings up enough coverage, I'd say he passes GNG. Kges1901 (talk) 20:27, 29 August 2023 (UTC)
- @Kges1901: Yes, and as with any article we'd need someone with a knowledge of the language to vet them. A search in English also brings up multiple books, but that doesn't mean they contain significant coverage. In any case, I don't have plans to take further action on that. And to that question I asked–if you have access to the book it would be great if you had a few minutes to match what you can in the article to a page number. I would do it myself but I can't even get a preview on Google Books, and no libraries near me have it. Ed [talk] [majestic titan] 14:18, 31 August 2023 (UTC)
- @Kges1901: I wanted to thank you for these edits. :-) Ed [talk] [majestic titan] 15:06, 1 September 2023 (UTC)
