copyrights, sourcing and potential conflicts of interest

edit

The content and style of this Wikipedia article is very different from the content of Dr Kinlay's LinkedIn page. In addition I have Dr Kinlay's permission to use any of the content on his LinkedIn profile to assist in the creation of this article.

Large sections are copied verbatim from the web page. Please read the section regarding copyrights. Also, as you seem to have an association with the subject, you are highly discouraged from creating a page about him due to your conflict of interest. I have changed the content so that it is very different from his LinkedIn profile and added a substantial number of references. I offered to create the profile for Dr Kinlay after another colleague's initial attempt was immediately deleted. If you leave this article on Wiki, others will add to it shortly.

Thank you.

I still don't see any actual references, just a list of publications. Please read about reliable sources and biographies of living persons. I think you will find them helpful. Wperdue (talk) 16:37, 10 July 2009 (UTC)wperdueReply

1978 world champ team

edit

I have removed this claim from the article because I was not able to verify it.

  • Kinlay played on the British chess team that won the Gold Medal at the 1978 World Under 26 Championships in Mexico City.

These search results suggest that it might be true, but unless someone can verify the claim, it does not belong in the article. MM 207.69.139.147 (talk) 00:35, 18 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

  • the google books search says these two publications are hits with kinlay mexico city chess 1978 as search terms, but the free cotent at google books does not confirm. http://books.google.com/books?q=1978+chess+mexico+city+kinlay
  • this confirms that the british team did win in 78, but does not list members of the team [1]
