Notability

This is the page of a chess grandmaster, the highest title in the sport. This player is also the highest FIDE rated player of Portugal (see https://ratings.fide.com/topfed.phtml?ina=1&country=POR). Clearly this is a notable sportsman. In addition, it is false, unproductive and totally absurd to suggest that the sources are "too closely associated with the subject", given that only the common sources suggested by WikiProject Chess are used in the article and there are only the minimum set of facts to establish notability.
