Jose Abreu Image
editThe picture of Jose Abreu seems too much like a video game image. There must be other images that are more realistic than this. I do not mean to offend the person who uploaded the image. --Joey Gallo (talk) 20:38, 20 July 2014 (UTC)
- No offense taken, man. I took the pic and there's never any problem with taking down one of my images if it isn't the best thing for the encyclopedia. I'm cool if you use another image from Commons or from the article's history. EricEnfermero HOWDY! 20:50, 20 July 2014 (UTC)
- I created a Wikimedia Commons category for Abreu here. As far as I can find, there are only three Abreu images on Commons - the two in the article and a third that I just uploaded. Flickr might have a freely licensed pic of Abreu though. EricEnfermero HOWDY! 21:37, 20 July 2014 (UTC)

Requested move 22 September 2021
edit- The following is a closed discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review after discussing it on the closer's talk page. No further edits should be made to this discussion.
The result of the move request was: moved. Clear consensus to move. This move does not affect the RM at Talk:José Abreu (infielder) on whether or not that page should be moved to José Abreu (Negro leagues). (non-admin closure) VR talk 21:44, 14 October 2021 (UTC)
– Looking at the articles listed on José Abreu, it appears clear that the White Sox first baseman is the WP:PRIMARYTOPIC for the name, especially since the three non-baseball players have similar but different article titles; eg, the Venezuelan composer's references refer to him as "José Antonio Abreu". So, really, this means that the White Sox first baseman is the primary topic over the Negro leagues infielder. The new dab setup doesn't work, anyway, as a first baseman is also an infielder. – Muboshgu (talk) 21:11, 22 September 2021 (UTC)
- I was about to drop by your talk page & ask you if you thought this page should be the primary topic. I surmise from this RM your answer would have been "yes," so I also support. --Bison X (talk) 22:17, 22 September 2021 (UTC)
- Support as per nom. I've also made a request at WP:RMT to move the other article back to José Abreu (Negro leagues), because of the aforementioned ambiguity. 162 etc. (talk) 22:29, 22 September 2021 (UTC)
Side discussion is now at Talk:José Abreu (infielder)
