Composer of the Week, BBC Radio 3, October 2023

edit

Not sure how to add this here, but this fine composer (who I'd not come across before) was deservedly selected as Composer of the Week on BBC Radio 3 this week and there's a good range of his music on the BBC Sounds website: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/m001qvxb . I came here for the same reason and was agreeably surprised to find such an extensive article - it was largely created by an IP in 2008, but without direct references and is more of a stream of snippets (some of which are of little direct relevance). However, pt:José Maurício Nunes Garcia is a substantial article, covering the music itself and his reputation/legacy as well as biography, and appears to be very well referenced.
