José Verdi (volleyball) → José Verdi – the volleyball player is the only "José Verdi" on wikipedia Joeykai (talk) 22:26, 7 February 2022 (UTC)
- Support move and deletion of the current dab page. I cannot find a single source that refers to Giuseppe Verdi as José. Pichpich (talk) 22:44, 7 February 2022 (UTC)
- Question: Is this person really notable enough to have their own article per WP:NOTE? Mannysoloway (talk) 02:27, 8 February 2022 (UTC)
- That's a legitimate question but it's a separate issue that should be dealt with at AfD. For now, let's just establish the correct name and get rid of the disambiguation page. Pichpich (talk) 15:49, 9 February 2022 (UTC)
- Support per nomination and Pichpich. The Venezuelan Olympian is indeed Wikipedia's sole José Verdi, thus obviating the need for the José Verdi disambiguation page, Even the Spanish Wikipedia references the composer as Giuseppe Verdi. —Roman Spinner (talk • contribs) 03:01, 8 February 2022 (UTC)
- Support, there doesn't appear to be any significant use of "José Verdi" as a pseudonym of Giuseppe Verdi. @Opus88888: 162 etc. (talk) 17:21, 8 February 2022 (UTC)
- Support per nom.--Ortizesp (talk) 23:47, 9 February 2022 (UTC)
