José María Ventura Casas → Josep Maria Ventura i Casas – Regardless of the subject's legal name, "Josep Ventura" is universally used in Catalan cultural discussion and most of Spanish cultural discussion, and there is no reason to think that he would have used a Spanish version of his name given his life and scope of work. In addition, even though Catalan names were banned from Spanish registries during most of the Franco dictatorship, all other Catalans in English Wikipedia have their real, Catalan name instead of their legal one, which they do not use. This policy should also apply for previous Catalans. For these reasons, this article should be moved. Oriolgalceran (talk) 14:10, 30 April 2022 (UTC)Reply

The real name was: José Ventura because the guy was born in Andalucia.
the catalan nacionalists changes his real name for be “more catalan”, but OFICIALLY is José Ventura, not Josep Ventura.
in catalonia the people called him “Pep” or “tio Pepe” 113.255.110.237 (talk) 13:33, 5 October 2022 (UTC)Reply
