editHello editors. The Joseph Cari Jr page was my first wikipedia page. I created this article at the request of Joseph A. Cari, Jr. All experience listed here were dictated to me by Mr. Cari himself. I recognize that several of the bullet points do not currently have citations, but I am actively seeking credible citations for them all (any help is appreciated!). Respecting the delicate nature of composing biographies of living persons, I attempted to keep the voice of the article encyclopedic, and consistent with other approved examples. Also, I am still learning the proper citation process. I am currently using the inline citation by embedding a link immediately after the fact. Please let me know if I am not doing this correctly. Thanks in advance. Tanyanqui 05:15, 22 May 2007 (UTC)
Delete list of academics and their works
editI stumbled on this page researching redlinks for William Craft Brumfield. Brumfield composed the body of his works and shaped his line of thought well before Cari stepped into the Wilson office (Brumfield's 2001 collaboration published through Woodrow Wilson foundation is, frankly, a reissue of older material). Same/similar, I suppose, holds true for other academics: research takes decades, and affiliation with this or that publishing house is a matter of convenience and, perhaps, luck. Working for the foundation confers notability upon Cari, true, but there is no need to reinforce it with a long list of academics who, accidentally, worked in the same period. Their academic credentials do not add up to Cari's, just like they don't add up to the CEOs of Amazon, McGraw-Hill, Cambridge University Press or other publishers and promoters of books. "I am a cool librarian, I stock books by Marx and videos by Marx too." :)) NVO (talk) 05:20, 10 October 2009 (UTC)
OPening paragraphs
editShouldn't his plea to federal crimes be mentioned in the introduction? ChildofMidnight (talk) 22:43, 30 October 2009 (UTC)
He pleaded guilty to corruption, bribery and sxtortion. That is significant and should be mentioned. Also, he was forced to resigned as a Trustee of Notre Dame..
Also. In the Personal Section he was previously married to Gail Shadade who is the mother of his daughter. He was divorced from her
It seems this may have been a paid deal to only present the most favorable aspects of Mr Cari's life. Extremely flawed bio. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 108.18.238.23 (talk) 05:59, 17 August 2015 (UTC)
The Lead
editNeeds work. Much of it needs to be moved to the body of the article. Will do ASAP. ```Buster Seven Talk 18:32, 11 January 2014 (UTC)
