Lana Turner
editThe page previously said (he)"dated Lana Turner for a short time while in high school." I changed this to "dated Lana Turner once while in high school." I cannot provide my source, but I was just watching a YouTube video with the Judge, which led me here, but I've already closed the window. They mentioned he dated Lana Turner and he said "once, just once" (to which they replied, "well, one date is a relationship in Hollywood!" hah). The video shouldn't be too hard to find - he's on a morning news talk show, and of all damned things they're talking about nipple rings, if someone feels inclined to/needs to find the vid. Cheers! Rain Man
editMaybe it could be mentioned that Raymond always has to watch Mr Wapner ("Gotta watch Wapner. Wapner starts at five." etc. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 189.146.66.81 (talk) 04:12, 10 November 2007 (UTC)
- Heh, I often think of that quote when Wapner's name comes up. Unfortunately, it isn't appropriate for inclusion here. momoricks (make my day) 00:46, 10 April 2009 (UTC)
In 2009, Wapner presided over Blondel Joseph and was about a pair of shoes
editIn 2009, Wapner presided over a case about a pair of shoes and Blondel Joseph was the plaintiff in the case. It was NOT Sanko v. The State of Ohio.--Jax 0677 (talk) 02:16, 1 December 2010 (UTC)
Almost empty infobox
editAlmost empty infobox rv as per WP:MOS: “The most important group to consider are the casual readers of Wikipedia, who will never do any significant editing. Infobox templates that contain many blank fields, question marks and unknowns present an unprofessional appearance, diminishing Wikipedia’s reputation as a high-quality encyclopedia.” Quis separabit? 13:11, 9 September 2014 (UTC)
To add to article
editCan it be added to this article how Wapner was originally selected to be the judge on The People's Court? 173.88.246.138 (talk) 00:11, 11 April 2020 (UTC)
Is TV host Scott Wapner (of the program Fast Money Halftime Report) related, even distantly, to Joseph Wapner? 173.88.246.138 (talk) 00:13, 11 April 2020 (UTC)
Contradictory
editOne paragraph says he never watched his successors and had no opinion of their shows. The next paragraph says he didn’t like Sheindlin’s behavior and links to an article in which he is highly critical of her. Nicmart (talk) 02:38, 9 September 2021 (UTC)
Hedy Lamarr false rape/deformation lawsuit
editJudge Wapner ordered Lamarr to pay $15,000 dollars (about $150K in 2023) to a man she had (falsely) accused of rape many years ago. I can only find a single newspaper clipping about this (AN INTERNATIONAL TIMELINE OF FALSE RAPE ALLEGATIONS 1674-2015: HEDY LAMARR (falserapetimeline.org) ) which isn't linking here for ... I dunno? Reason? But it is easily found on a large search bot.
This isn't on Lamarr's Wikipedia entry as yet (it should be as it's a big story and vitally important for people to know who Lamarr really was) but I think it also deserves mention here. 92.40.5.83 (talk) 17:57, 14 October 2023 (UTC)
