tag
editI've added a tag to the article. Arévalo did not write the new constitution, so credit for that needs to be nuanced (universal suffrage, freedom of assembly, freedom of press are part of that constitution, it is not something Arévalo created out of nowhere). Furthermore, I believe that Arévalo actually implented a law during his presidency that severely limited the press freedom. Also, constitutional rights under his presidency were regularly suspended because of fears of military coups. Intangible2.0 00:24, 13 July 2007 (UTC)
Needs to add more information for his presidency.
Will get the english references. --Nerdoguate (talk) 21:04, 14 September 2014 (UTC)
spiritual socialism
editI have added Arevalo's definiton of his political philosophy. I will further expand his view on democracy and properly cite the article. --Fitterhappier (talk) 22:35, 5 December 2008 (UTC)

TLDR
edit@Nerdoguate:, I didn't mean "copy the content you want to add onto the talk." I mean describe the content. What is it you want to add? Why is it important? What new info does it add? What source is it from? Something along those lines. Nobody has the time to sort through 11kb of content. One possible issue I have is that the source you use is in Spanish. This is not itself a big problem, but is it possible to find an english version? If so, that would be a lot better. Otherwise, you need to explain what the source is, so that non-spanish speakers may at least convince themselves that it is reliable. Regards, Vanamonde93 (talk) 18:57, 14 September 2014 (UTC)
Missing information
editThis article is missing information that probably should have, such as the name of the parents of Arévalo, his place of birth, his early life, marriage, children, career, alma mater, his life before and after his presidency, and place of death. Thinker78 (talk) 20:09, 12 April 2019 (UTC)
United Fruit Company
editWhy is the involvement of the United Fruit Company and the CIA omitted from this article? 198.168.255.130 (talk) 17:13, 26 June 2023 (UTC)
