Curious which sect she was a member of. The Monsey article reports "Major hasidic sects represented in Monsey include Satmar, Vizhnitz Monsey, and Belz."Sylvain1972 (talk) 04:09, 30 July 2021 (UTC)Reply
@Sylvain1972: First off, they are not "sects"! They are huge and ancient Hasidic dynasties (a lot older than TV and NETFLIX!). See for example Satmar (Hasidic dynasty), Vizhnitz (Hasidic dynasty), Belz (Hasidic dynasty). Second of all she and her ex husband belonged to none of those! She was born irreligious in the USSR and her family became Baal teshuvas (returnees to Orthodox Judaism). Thirdly they were just frum (religious Jews), and she decided to go OTD (Off the derech (abandon Orthodoxy) and take her kids with her. She is not unique and she is not a Jewish heroine, she is just a newly-minted TV reality show celebrity getting her 20 minutes of "fame". IZAK (talk) 01:32, 4 August 2021 (UTC)Reply
