Terminology
"Juliet Opie Hopkins was born on her parents' slave plantation."
Is it essential to call it a "slave plantation"? Or is "plantation" enough? It would seem to me that a "slave plantation" would be one for the purpose of planting and cultivating slaves. Surely it was something else that they grew! Could you word it better? Amandajm (talk) 13:13, 5 July 2012 (UTC)
- Thanks for catching that. It's been taken care of. Maile66 (talk) 14:13, 5 July 2012 (UTC)
Arthur Hopkins
I couldn't find Arthur Hopkins as a US Senator in Biographical Directory of the US Congress [1]Pauljeffersonks (talk) 01:07, 7 July 2013 (UTC)
- It was the Alabama state senate. Corrected now. — Maile (talk) 01:25, 7 July 2013 (UTC)
