Page move?
editShould this article be moved to "Julio Granda Zúñiga" or "Julio Granda-Zúñiga"? Many sites refer to him as one of those. -SpuriousQ 02:49, 23 December 2006 (UTC)
- Although you may find sites that refer to him with the name "Zúñiga", I believe he is more often recognized as just "Julio Granda". Also, I googled both with quotes and found more results with latter. By the way, thanks for the external links-Indierocker.philoso 00:46, 24 December 2006 (UTC)
- OK, sounds right then. No problem about the external links; thanks for creating the article! [I could have sworn I posted this comment an hour ago, but it looks like I didn't] -SpuriousQ 03:55, 24 December 2006 (UTC)
- There are more results with "Julio Granda" simply because also not chess-related Julio Grandas are included (e.g. a university professor)! The chess GM is mainly known as Julio Granda Zuniga by major chess websites ChessBase, Chessdom, ChessVibes, The Week in Chess and also by major chess magazine New In Chess. I think it's better to move to "Julio Granda Zuniga". Sophia91 (talk) 16:40, 27 January 2016 (UTC)
Maybe someone could make redirects from "Julio Granda Zúñiga" and/or or "Julio Granda-Zúñiga" to this article then? I don't know how to do this myself. Also, thanks for creating this article. Soon, when I have some time available, I might expand this article to include some of Granda's life story, which is quite fascinating. Feer 14:04, 3 January 2007 (UTC)
- Definately a good idea. See WP:REDIRECT for the tutorial on how to do this. I've redirected Julio Granda Zuniga, Julio Granda-Zuniga, and Julio Granda Zúñiga but there's probably more permutations possible :-) -SpuriousQ 15:52, 3 January 2007 (UTC)
- By the way, I'd love to hear about his life story, as I know nothing about it. Hope you find the time. -SpuriousQ 18:25, 3 January 2007 (UTC)
