"A number of landmark recordings"? Miles Davis' Porgy and Bess is the only one that I know of; Watkins has also appeared on one or two other Davis albums, and on some Sonny Rollins. I'd not have called him a major figure in any way. --Mel Etitis (Μελ Ετητης) 10:14, 23 April 2006 (UTC)Reply
I'd never heard of him, but I'm realizing I don't know that much about jazz even though I like it. He does seem to be one of the top jazz musicians to play this instrument.--T. Anthony11:40, 30 September 2006 (UTC)Reply
