Terror
I felt this was important enough to mention, since it was offically designated the first terrorist attack on US soil (1916), and we made the Germans pay us for it up until 1979. Black Tom Island explosion
Fictional Events
Is there any standard on adding fictional events for date? In the Harry Potter universe, Neville Longbottom was born on July 30, 1980. Should this be added? Jvsett 11:26, 27 January 2007 (UTC)

Current entry is: "1990 – Conservative Member of Parliament is assassinated at his home by IRA terrorists in a car bombing after he assured the group that the British government would never surrender to them.[1]"
Suggest adding after "Parliament" the person's name, i.e. ", Ian Gow" It is mentioned further down in the deaths for this day but seems odd not to have it mentioned here as well. If some reason for this then suggest add "A" before Conservative member as I think that makes more sense grammatically. If you don't include the A the current version implies that the name will follow his position as an MP.
