Draft declined

edit

Hi Gusfriend, could you expand upon your reasons for declining this draft? The message says it does not show "significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject". The article cites two articles in scientific journals. Each article focuses entirely on the subject (i.e. not passing mentions).

Also per your link to Wikipedia:Notability (academics), "the most typical way of satisfying Criterion 1 is to show that the academic has been an author of highly cited academic work." A Google Scholar search suggests several of Vasiliev's works have been cited 100+ times -- presumably an underestimate as he mostly published in the pre-digital era. Apologies for the delay getting back to you. It was line ball when deciding but I would suggest that you resubmit it. Gusfriend (talk) 08:50, 25 August 2022 (UTC)Reply
Turns out I can now "accept" it myself. I've done so, as I believe it to clearly meet the criteria in the guidelines you linked to me through the decline templates. If you disagree you're more than welcome to start a discussion at WP:AFD. FrizzledFz (talk) 18:08, 30 August 2022 (UTC)Reply
