– Per WP:NCVG. I get quite lots of views for the game series. 31.53.108.231 (talk) 11:10, 16 October 2016 (UTC)

- Oppose. The IP has given no evidence outside of a vague pageview mention, however a quick look shows that Just Dance (song) gets almost the same amount. Do I see snow? Nohomersryan (talk) 16:30, 16 October 2016 (UTC)
- Oppose - No evidence the video game is the primary topic. Meatsgains (talk) 23:32, 16 October 2016 (UTC)

The result of the move request was: not moved. In fact I see no reason for the renomination just six months after the similarly resounding rejection of an identical proposal. Andrewa (talk) 12:29, 25 May 2017 (UTC)
Just Dance (video game series) → Just Dance – primary topic Lordtobi (✉) 06:13, 18 May 2017 (UTC)
- This is a contested technical request (permalink). Herostratus (talk) 13:12, 18 May 2017 (UTC)
- Oppose. "Just Dance" is also Lady Gaga's first single. It is a large complete article with 146 references and with versions in 31 other languages. It gets 500 hits a day and it is also the source of the video game's title. Please do not make technical-request moves in situations like this, thanks. Herostratus (talk) 13:20, 18 May 2017 (UTC)
- @Lordtobi: Or move Just Dance (disambiguation) to Just Dance? Anthony Appleyard (talk) 13:27, 18 May 2017 (UTC)
- Yes, that's how it was until the OP of this RM moved it today, apparently hoping to move the series to the baseline. If this RM fails it should be reverted. Currently it's just the undisambiguated pagename pointing to the DAB. Nohomersryan (talk) 17:14, 18 May 2017 (UTC)
- Oppose. My comment in the October RM is still true - the song usually gets equal or more pageviews, so there is no primary topic. Nohomersryan (talk) 17:14, 18 May 2017 (UTC)
- Oppose. As established, Just Dance is not the primary topic. soetermans. ↑↑↓↓←→←→ B A TALK 08:58, 19 May 2017 (UTC)

Just Dance 2020
editHi! Should i start working on a Just Dance 2020 page? it's close to the E3 conference for Ubisoft. Johnallen008 (talk) 06:37, 10 June 2019 (UTC)
- Not yet. While JD2020 is pretty much confirmed already, Wikipedia requires legitimate secondary sources to create a page. So it will be better to wait until after the announcement once IGN and others have picked up on it. Of course, if you want to start creating the basic outline of the page in your sandbox that’s all in fine. Then, you can add sources and move it into the mainspace once the official announcement is made.

Just Dance (video game series) → Just Dance (series) – There is no other series called Just Dance. 89.242.11.4 (talk) 11:02, 4 July 2019 (UTC)

- Oppose and speedy close per Netoholic.ZXCVBNM (TALK) 13:50, 4 July 2019 (UTC)
- Oppose "series" is meaningless without a type - is it a sport series? a film series? a TV series? Maybe it's a series of Just Dance competitions? --Gonnym (talk) 15:00, 4 July 2019 (UTC)
- Oppose Gonnym said exactly what I came here to say. If we are going to use a disambiguator, it needs to be descriptive. "Series" by itself actually adds more confusion, not less. CThomas3 (talk) 16:10, 5 July 2019 (UTC)

IP user
editWarning to Wikipedia in all languages. There is an IP user who add false information about Just Dance series such as Disurbia song is on JD Unlimited and Just Dance 4 is on Switch. Egon Eagle (talk) 09:30, 25 July 2019 (UTC)
Control by app
editCould someone please clarify in the article which app is meant and what range of control possibilities it offers. After all, smart devices usually feature cameras so that an expectation of replacement for the dropped Kinect module could arise. So, does the app provide a new way for motion recognition/control or is it just an alternative control pad? --Ben4Wiki (talk) 13:24, 6 October 2020 (UTC)
- The app basically uses the phone’s gyroscope and the player uses it like a Wii Remote to score moves. I’m sure there are articles that confirm this but I do not have time to look for them right now. CAMERAwMUSTACHE (talk) 14:22, 6 October 2020 (UTC)
- @CAMERAwMUSTACHE (Motion Controller*) It is basically like PS Move or the Joycon. SoyokoAnis - talk 13:53, 12 January 2022 (UTC)
Switch joycon controls
editQuestion: Did earlier versions of JD require (or have the option?) to use 2 joycons, not just one? 142.196.213.225 (talk) 16:50, 25 December 2021 (UTC)
- With the exception of Double Rumble mode on JD2018, no, you can only use one Joy-Con. CAMERAwMUSTACHE (talk) 17:21, 25 December 2021 (UTC)
- Nope, you only need one joycon to use the game. SoyokoAnis - talk 13:52, 12 January 2022 (UTC)
Would it be ideal to put beta elements on all of the articles for the games?
editI was wondering like, on every article about Just Dance there would be a section stating beta elements for that specific game. SoyokoAnis - talk 13:56, 12 January 2022 (UTC)
- Since I don’t think any beta elements have been notable enough to receive press coverage, I think that would not be a good idea since that would fall under What Wikipedia Is Not. Wikipedia is not a game guide so such content would likely be considered fancruft and therefore not allowed. CAMERAwMUSTACHE (talk) 14:11, 12 January 2022 (UTC)
- True, thanks. SoyokoAnis - talk 19:16, 12 January 2022 (UTC)
Lady Gaga
editWorth noting that this iMore article claiming that the title comes from Lady Gaga's song is an instance of WP:CITOGENESIS, iMore took this claim from this very Wikipedia article where it was unsourced.
I cannot find any reliable sources, not even press releases from Ubisoft, that make this claim.
