Additional Characters

edit

I think there might be some confusion with this section. It seems to me that it is for characters that were not able to be in the show due to legal stuff, and not for characters who could have been used in the show but were not. There are some characters who I think could have been in the show but were not because they writers just did not find a oppertunity to use them. However, they still are on this list. I will try to find out if any of these characters could have been used, and if so, I will take them off this list. Rhino131 00:18, 21 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

The page specifically says "Due to liscensing issues or other reasons". Meaning characters that didn't appear in general. I'm going to put those characters back on the list. 71.115.192.199 06:57, 24 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Okay I see your point, but I would suggest making that more clear, and also putting a link to Characters appearing in Justice League Unlimited#Characters who could not appear, because that section shows the ones who could not appear due to legal issues. Rhino131 15:47, 25 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

One more thing. I took out Blue Devil because he has appeared, although just in crowds. Rhino131 15:51, 25 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

I'm using another computer, but anyway thanks for the response. Should I simply state that some characters did not appear for various reasons? As for why I felt the need for the section:

A. A good portion of those who watched episodes of Justice League and Justice League Unlimited are those who are fans of the mainstream DC Comics Universe. That particular portion of the fandom more than likely would anticipate the animated debut of their favorite character. In the case of the list I put up, it allows the fans of the unused characters to still see the Animated Style rendering of said characters.

B. The show has been over for a year now, with no intention of continuing, so those characters will not see a debut in the animated continuum save for the JLU comics. If the show was continuing still, then I would agree that the majority is pointless.

C. Like with Batman Adventures and Superman Adventures, the JL Adventures page was a stub. Stubs without added info overtime I believe can be voted for deletion. So I figured the info was helpful to increase the page content. 74.61.186.169 09:23, 26 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

  • I am not trying to say the section should be deleted, and I agree with all three of your reasons. I'm just saying that the section should be more clear, because it seams easy for a reader to A. Think all the characters could not be used due to legal reasons, or B. Not know what the "various reasons" would be and become confused. It would be helpful to include a link to the page I said before, or find some other way to show which characters the legal issues applied to, and then also give examples of "various reasons" (which I think would mostly be that the writers never found a use, or forgot about the character). If you can think you can find a way to do that, then feel free to put it on the page. Rhino131 19:03, 27 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

I added the fact tag to the Marvel Family section, not because I dispute it, but because I'd like to be able to read further on it. 24.163.208.79 20:28, 31 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Fair use rationale for Image:JLAdventures12.jpg

Image:JLAdventures12.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
