I think the copyright law was abused with these edits. Most of these parts are same as article written by Bekir Karliga. That website explaind their copyright policy on "Copyright and Disclaimer Statement". Takabeg (talk) 04:15, 16 July 2011 (UTC)Reply

Article name

Gbooks hits:

  • "Haji Khalfa" (233)
  • "Haji Khalifa" (222)
  • "Kâtip Çelebi" (198)
  • "Hacı Halife" (168)
  • "Haji Kalfa" (28)

Some input?--Zoupan 23:37, 20 February 2016 (UTC)Reply

Statistically, the difference between the numbers is not very significant except for the fifth variant, which is clearly less-often found. Are you invoking WP:COMMONNAME here? If so, could you develop your position a little more fully?—Jerome Kohl (talk) 02:30, 21 February 2016 (UTC)Reply
I think its clear that Haji Khal(i)fa is predominant. Now it's up to us to decide which spelling to use. Also, I think your change to the intro is unnecessary. Muhammad bin Abdullah is his name, the rest being pseudonyms and honorary titles.--Zoupan 03:13, 21 February 2016 (UTC)Reply

Updated Gbooks hits:

  • "Hadji Khalfa" (240)
  • "Haji Khalfa" (233)
  • "Haji Khalifa" (222)
  • "Hajji Khalifa" (209)
  • "Kâtip Çelebi" (198)
  • "Hadji Kalfa" (176)
  • "Hacı Halife" (168)
  • "Hadji Khalifa" (142)
  • "Hajji Khalfa" (133)
  • "Haci Kalfa" (78)
  • "Katip Chelebi" (48)
  • "Haji Kalfa" (28)
  • "Haci Khalfa" (21)
  • "Haci Khalifa" (15)
  • "Haji Kalifa" (11)
  • "Hadji Kalifa" (10)

So, if we use the combined Khalfa, we get 627, Khalifa 588, the rest less than half, and if we use Hadji, we get 568, Haji 494, Hajji 342, etc. So either "Hadji Khalfa", "Hadji Khalifa", "Haji Khalfa" or "Haji Khalifa". If we look through the four variants on 21st-c hits, we get: "Haji Khalifa" (57), "Haji Khalfa" (52), "Hadji Khalfa" (39), "Hadji Khalifa" (24). I would support "Haji Khalfa". --Zoupan 03:13, 21 February 2016 (UTC)Reply

Muslim leader infobox

edit

Whats with the muslim leader flag, should it not be changed to philosopher as this retains the 'influenced by' box and is more standard for Wikipedia. Kind Regards, NotAnotherNameGuy (talk) 20:27, 4 May 2022 (UTC)Reply
