Based on the companies radio ads here in Dublin, Car-Cher, as in the vehicle and the scary, scary singer. --Kiand 16:23, 13 November 2005 (UTC)Reply

I suspect that in native German it's kerr-cher, but... David.Monniaux 08:32, 22 November 2005 (UTC)Reply

I'd guess that too, but thats what their own adverts are saying in an English speaking country. --Kiand 08:36, 22 November 2005 (UTC)Reply
In France, (almost) everybody calls them Car-sher. David.Monniaux 21:20, 22 November 2005 (UTC)Reply

the ch ist the http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ch_%28digraph%29#Voiceless_palatal_fricative that does not occur in the english language

"In a famous quote, French politician Nicolas Sarkozy once declared figuratively that a certain banlieue involved with the 2005 French civil unrest should be "cleaned out with a Kärcher" (nettoyer la cité au Kärcher)— meaning all criminals and other undesirables should be removed and washed out. This comment was highly controversial."

it was not about 2005 french civil unrest, but before when a child has been killed by a gang.
