Range doesn't confer immunity to AA
editThe article suggests that the "hypothetical" possibility of launching the missile from beyond the range of anti-aircraft missiles or guns renders it vulnerable only to fighter aircraft. There is no reason why launching a missile from a long range per se should render it immune to anti-aircraft weapons; what matters is the missile's behavior (speed, course, possible maneuvering etc.) once it enters the envelope of such weapons. Long range gives some protection to the launching vessel against counter-attack, but not to the missile itself.--Death Bredon (talk) 16:25, 26 March 2019 (UTC)
