So much missing here. The amazing run at the studios located at 1219 W. 6th Street. Offices were upstairs, studios and programming offices were in a bit of a basement. During the "move down" there was a delay in the KVET acquisition, allowing KHFI to broadcast on both 98.1 and 96.7 for a brief period of time. I recall it being somewhere around 2 weeks.

editThere's a piece of the history missing. I DJ'ed on both KVET and KHFI at the same time in the late 60's. (My program director at KVET discovered what I was doing, which was against station policy, but he didn't rat me out.) The reason I was able to get away with it was because most of the KHFI programming at the time was canned. There were several machines with open reel tape and a rudimentary computer of sorts. Mostly I just tended the machines. I only read some live commercials and such on weekdays. On Saturday or Sunday (I forget which), I did a DJ show that was tepid middle-of-the-road (MOR), like the tapes. I also recorded the "book" for KHFI television - station promos, etc., while tending the machines. - Dave Jones —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.36.153.74 (talk) 05:51, 27 February 2009 (UTC)
