In the 1959 "B" movie "The Giant Gila Monster", (which takes place in an unnamed Southwestern state that looks a lot like Texas), there is a character named Horatio Alger "Stemroller" Smith who works for radio station KILT. Steamroller Smith plays recordings by the movies' hero Chase on Radio Station KILT.
KILT again gets mentioned at the climax of the movie which takes place at a Sock Hop sponsored by KILT.
I don't know if "Steamroller Smith" was based on a real KILT personality or not.
Perhaps there could be a Popular Culture section added to the KILT article which mentions the inclusion of KILT in the movie, and provides a click-on to the "The Great Gila Monster" movie entry.
