Restructuring the article

I don't know if this is being read since it's a long time ago since there was activity on this Talk page. Nevertheless...I'm quite new to this Wikipedia editing but I hope I can contribute something to this artile by restructuring and expanding it where possible so that it has more coherence with other Good Articles of airlines, like the Cathay Pacific and the EVA Air article.

First of all I would like to change the "codesharing" section by removing the routes on which the codesharing is applies. I think the removal of this column makes more sense since most people are not interested in the routes on which the codesharing is applied. Furthermore I would like to incorporate this section as subsection of the "Destinations" section.

The second thing I want to change is the "Cabin" section, I would like to change this into "Services" and feature "Cabin" as a subsection. I would like to expand this "Services" section by including more information about for example the ground services, cabins, inflight entertainment and catering.

Furthermore I think that some restructuring needs to be done at the "Corporate affairs and identity" section, what is for example the benefit of listing all the previous CEOs of the airline (in a separate subsection), couldn't this be deleted or be merged into the "History" section (if it isn't already there), since that will make more sense (?). The "Merger" subsection can also be merged into the "History" section, this is also done in articles of British Airways and Delta Airlines. Or is it better to keep it as it is, as a subsection in the "Corporate affairs and identity" section?

Suggestion: Split the "Delft Blue houses" section from this article and just summarize it in this article.

So, as you may have noticed, I started restructuring and improving the article 1.5 month ago. In my opinion, I made some significant improvements to the article.

Currently, however, I have arrived at the "Delft Blue houses" subsection. I would love to improve and extend it, but it is already quite detailed for a subsection in a main article. It contains almost a complete history about the Delft Blue houses KLM hands out to its passengers. Therefore, I would like to suggest to split this subsection from this article into its own article (KLM Delft Blue houses) and summarize that new article just briefly in the KLM article. I was wondering whether this is appropriate and if you agree. I am looking forward to your opinions!

Better/additional sources needed for "fleet history" section

Please note that the whole section has just one reference: airfleets.net, but the older Fokker and Douglas types aren't listed there at all.--FoxyOrange (talk) 16:08, 26 October 2013 (UTC)

Another meaning for KLM

Dunno if this would be important enought for a disambiguation, but in optics, KLM refers to Kerr-lens mode-locking, so its not just an airline and a human computer interaction. Just wanted to let people here know; whether it is acted upon (e.g. a disambiguation page) is up to people here. --nyoro~! Highwind888 (talk) 06:25, 24 April 2008 (UTC)

Royal Aviation Company

Just a guess but probably a literal translation of Koninklijke Luchtvaart Maatschappij in English, an unlikely search term as it is KLM Royal Dutch Airlines in English. MilborneOne (talk) 14:43, 1 June 2013 (UTC)

I can confirm, if you translate the full name from Dutch 'Koninklijke Luchtvaart Maatschappij' it would actually mean Royal Aviation Company. Koninklijke = Royal, Luchtvaart = Aviation, Maatschappij = Company. I suppose people thought it was necessary to have this redirect, doubt anyone uses it though. Royal Aviation Company was changed to point to the Canadian company, and on find another well known organisation with the same name I have converted it to a disambiguation page. John Vandenberg ^(chat) 09:46, 7 November 2013 (UTC)
