schedules and personalities

edit

I removed the schedule and personality subsections per notability, lack of impartial reliable sources, and generally being unencyclopedic.

Also, I removed two paragraphs, one about internal organizational changes; the other describing that the news is not produced in HD. Who cares? It's not like the other stations do awesome stellar photography despite using HD.

The one section I removed which seems like it might be salvageable (for use in another article) is the historical newcast titles and slogans. They are too promotional for an encyclopedia article, but probably have some value in popular trends over the decades tracking the evolution of news programs. —EncMstr (talk) 20:10, 27 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

Pending Deal with Meredith and Time inc

edit

http://www.latimes.com/business/la-fi-meredith-time-inc-20171126-story.html

This proposed deal involves Time inc's assets and Meredith's assets coming into one entity. As of November 2017 the Koch Brothers has been named as people involved in the deal. Its a pending deal that affects Meredith owned stations.

alternate call sign meaning

edit

I undid this edit which adds (also ICAO code assigned to Porterville Municipal Airport) to the call sign meaning field in the infobox because it does not seem to be related to this article. If there is some history of KPTV television initially being in California's Central Valley, then by all means add it back (with an explanatory citation). —EncMstr (talk) 17:59, 10 November 2012 (UTC)Reply
