SNL Really Not Aired Because of Content?

edit

I might just be remembering something that didn't happen, but didn't KSL state that their primary reason for opting out of Saturday Night Live was simply because SportsBeat Saturday was the higher-rated program when they were in competition? It's kind of telling that KUTV passed on it as well, opting instead to air their own sports program. Come to think of it, I don't believe there was any source on the statement that SNL isn't aired due to content, so I'm going to go ahead and delete it as an unsourced statement. (Doublelxp 09:12, 22 April 2007 (UTC)) KSL also did not air SNL in the 2000s: Time & Again on april 15 2010 for no apparent reason so that would mean it is about content there was no reason not to show SNL in the 2000s: Time & Again. they insted showed ReGenesis and DaVinci's Inquest —Preceding unsigned comment added by 137.190.208.155 (talk) 02:48, 16 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

This is most likely because KSL doesn't broadcast SNL in the first place, so why show a retrospective on that show? It makes more sense to show it on KUCW. CL (T · C)03:01, 16 April 2010 (UTC) but they have in the past shown prime time snl retrospectives why not now and they did rebroadcat it on cwReply

Salt Lake City News Ratings

edit

What station leads the news ratings in Salt Lake City?--Rossmartin90 (talk) 16:50, 18 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

I believe it's KSL, then KUTV, then KSTU, and finally KTVX. I read this in a Trib article not too long ago. CL (T · C)22:25, 18 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

Proposed merger of personalities section

edit

There's no real reason to have a separate artilce for KSL news personalities--it's not really a stand alone topic, and this article isn't so long that it needs to be spun out. Most other television stations, even ones with significantly more personalities or notable alumni have the info in the main article. If no one objects within about a week, I'll merge the personalities into here. Qwyrxian (talk) 06:22, 5 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

Well, since it's been about 7 months, I'll go ahead and do the merger now. Qwyrxian (talk) 01:14, 27 April 2011 (UTC)Reply

Broadcast License

edit

Question: why is the Licence on here state "Bonneville Holding Company" when there are several videos on You tube stating they are part of Deseret Management Corporation? Just Curious. The FCC says "BONNEVILLE HOLDING COMPANY" [1] so, as long as it says that, it is what the article should say. I do know there is some activity going on but I believe we should wait until the FCC says who owns it before changing it. --milonica (talk) 02:19, 25 February 2011 (UTC)Reply
