Needs updating

edit

Nothing since 2012 ? The only reference doesn't seem to work and the KSTAR website itself seems very out of date. Graphs somewhere of 4 out of over 1000 shots - longest ~900ms. Article says 2011 upgrade planned - has it started ? - Rod57 (talk) 03:14, 23 January 2015 (UTC)Reply

Now it has record claims after 2011 it is not clear when it was shutdown for an upgrade, what was upgraded, and when it came back into operation. - Rod57 (talk) 10:38, 29 March 2020 (UTC)Reply

Does KSTAR ever report plasma density or claim a triple product

edit

Does KSTAR ever report plasma density or claim a triple product. Lots of time and temperature records are listed but without knowing the plasma density we can't tell the Lawson criterion#triple product. - Rod57 (talk) 09:55, 29 March 2020 (UTC)Reply

Claims of achieving fusion

edit

I removed a claim of KSTAR achieving fusion together with a citation. KSTARs goal is not to achieve fusion but to heat the plasma for a duration of time. From a media perspective news of fusion is an attractive asset which generates money. The real news is that the researchers have had an article published in Nature.
