KTEN page need to be fixed because nobody can't see the Template:Sherman/Ada TV at the bottom of the page. -- Time1 13:30, 25 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

That Isn't The Only Problem

edit

Please, regular KTEN Viewers with internet access, help in updating this web page. I have been occasionally watching and I don't think that Jocelyn Lockwood works there anymore. Or she might be on Vacation. Where is Whitney R. Allen?????? And Collin Daily? And Randy Garsee?? Why can't Randy Garsee be added to the Former Personalities area?????? I added him but somebody deleted him...... In-Correct (talk) 23:17, 1 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

And I just checked... There are many templates at the end of the page. So I guess that problem has been resolved. In-Correct (talk) 23:19, 1 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

And I just checked the date of that... it looks like that was resolved years ago... In-Correct (talk) 05:10, 4 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

KTEN ABC

edit

Are You People SURE That ABC Texoma is 480i ?! I channel surfed and see that KTEN has launched the ABC subchannel. My TVs...CRT televisions with converter boxes...pick up Sherman-Ada with KXII CBS, FOX Texoma, KTEN NBC, .....all with Window Boxes...whether the programs and commercials are SDTV, SDTV Widescreen, or HDTV Widescreen... MyTexoma and Texoma CW are always in SDTV with occasional Widescreen but otherwise they are not window boxes.

KTEN's weather map was SDTV and did not have any window boxes. ABC Texoma has window boxes. I am wondering if ABC Texoma is 720p which is Fox Texoma also...

I did not mention OETA because it has two channels and not 3 like KXII and KTEN. Also, I get better reception of KERA anyways...and I like to watch KERA. ( and KDFW )

Fair use rationale for Image:Kten1087.jpg

Image:Kten1087.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 05:06, 5 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Acceptable fair use rationale has been added to the logo's description page. dhett (talk contribs) 23:09, 15 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

A remarkable example of innumeracy in journalism:

"So critical that both Denison and Sherman have proposed to buy the maximum amount--10,000 acre/foot each--that's a little over 65,000 gallons..."

Wow!

Just did an edit on part of the “history” section; In Search of the Lord’s Way should have it’s own article

edit

Mack Lyon retired in 2010 (NOT 2016) and died in August of 2015. Phil Sanders replaced him as speaker. See searchtv.org it tells all about it. There’s also a video on YouTube on Mack Lyons’s death. I have edited that article.

I think there really should be a full article on In Search of the Lord’s Way; or at least an article on Mack Lyon. 2601:5C5:4201:68B0:B160:F10A:C212:A73A (talk) 18:35, 10 November 2023 (UTC)Reply

Maybe we'll do an article on Mack Lyon, but an article on the TV show would fail WP:GNG. Pinging @Sammi Brie: Mvcg66b3r (talk) 21:17, 10 November 2023 (UTC)Reply

KO8KK in Paris, TX.

edit

Why is there no mention of station KO8KK, in Paris, Texas? K08KK was a sister station of KTEN. I worked 3 years at K08KK doing a little of everything including camera work, weather and sports. We had a live, local newscast every night at 6 and 10. 64.234.12.91 (talk) 19:09, 10 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
