Marketing No-no's

edit

Remember this is an encyclopedia, not a marketing engine. Talking about products that make a company is one thing. Pimping said products is another! Dennislv (talk) 06:08, 30 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

Fair use rationale for Image:KTUD.JPG

edit

Image:KTUD.JPG is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

KTUD-CAKTUD-LD — The station has since been renamed KTUD-LD... i think it should be redirected to that page (it currently redirects back to KTUD-CA). RingtailedFoxTalkContribs 06:32, 21 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

WOR/WWOR

edit

WOR/WWOR was NEVER brought into the Las Vegas broadcast market. I'm not going to edit the article, but I have saved the TV Guide and the LVRJ's TV listings since 1985. WOR/WWOR was never listed. I understand, as a resident of Las Vegas, since I was a child, there has been an underground movement of people who seem to only want to watch WOR/WWOR. If a satellite service brought WOR/WWOR into the LV market, that's fine. Prime/Cox Cable never did. 199.127.116.26 (talk) 07:26, 9 August 2024 (UTC)Reply

It was on satellite services and your collective memory and TV Guides from the area aren't proper sources. It's a casino town which caters to a big New York population, so I'm not doubting that some hotels offered it themselves even if local providers did not.
