Kabaš MountainKabash Mountain – This move request will start off by clarifying that the mountain chain that is termed 'Kabash' or 'Kabaš' in general is along the border with North Macedonia - the mountain that this article refers to is the mountain within Kosovo, not North Macedonia, hence why using 'Kabash' is plausible here considering Kosovo is an Albanian-speaking state. The Kabash Mountain chain itself is connected to the Sharr mountains.

Kabash Mountain is a lesser-known mountain/mountain chain in southern Kosovo near the Albanian village of Korisha in the majority (strong majority) Albanian municipality of Prizren, and it is connected to the wider Sharr mountain region. It takes it's name after the Albanian Kabashi tribe, as do several other toponyms in Kosovo and other Albanian-speaking regions. I propose to move 'Kabaš Mountain' to 'Kabash Mountain' due to the following:

1. Kabash Mountain is referred to as 'Kabash' by the government and international organisations, including but not limited to:

2. Tourism/Accomodation websites refer to Kabash Mountain as 'Kabash', including but not limited to:

To conclude, 'Kabaš Mountain' must be moved to 'Kabash Mountain' for the following reasons:

  1. 'Kabash' is the name that the Government of Kosovo uses as shown in the source above, and as such, that must be respected.
  2. 'Kabash' reflects, as is the case with the move request of Boletin [[1]], the demographic reality of the local Albanian-inhabited area, the wider Albanian-inhabited municipality of Prizren and the state of Kosovo which is dominated by ethnic Albanians and the Albanian language.
  3. 'Kabash' is the name used by tourism and accommodation websites; deviation from this name will cause confusion for potential visitors or those researching the mountain.
  4. 'Kabash' is friendlier to the English language, as the 'š' character is not used in the local Albanian alphabet nor is it used in the English alphabet.
  5. 'Kabash' will encourage the use of the official, correct name for the mountain by those who read this article, and it stays true to the origin of the name from the Kabashi tribe. BleronZ (talk) 11:35, 10 October 2021 (UTC)Reply
