News/Promotion
editWhat exactly, Lot49a, is newsy or promotional about this article? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 123.224.205.39 (talk) 11:47, 16 February 2011 (UTC)
Agreed: what is "promotional" about this page?
editCertainly it reads like it's official, but I thought that's what was needed for organisations. Can this designation be removed if people disagree with this tag? Jules1155 (talk) 20:30, 16 February 2011 (UTC)
- hmmm I'm more surprised nothing is up here about funding cuts adn Bev Oda 75.119.233.254 (talk) 16:04, 17 February 2011 (UTC)
- I quickly added text & refs about antisemitism accusations & defunding. I also removed the flag. Emmanuelm (talk) 04:38, 20 February 2011 (UTC)
Criticism
editAlthough there is a brief reference to the controversy that led to the cuts in funding from CIDA, the entry is still thin and official-sounding. KAIROS plays a visible political role in Canada, which leads to controversy, and usually such criticisms of organisations are reflected in their wiki entries, no? KAIROS → Kairos Canada – MOS:ALLCAPS, MOS:NOPRIMARY; see also KAIROS (rocket) and Kairos (disambiguation). 162 etc. (talk) 15:45, 18 March 2024 (UTC)
- @162 etc.: Are you prosing to move this to "Foo (qualifier)" or "FOO (qualifier)"? Crouch, Swale (talk) 19:22, 18 March 2024 (UTC)
- My bad, must've missed the title when I made the RM. Updated. 162 etc. (talk) 20:11, 18 March 2024 (UTC)
- @162 etc.: There is no "MOS:NOPRIMARY". I think you mean WP:NOPRIMARY. — SMcCandlish ☏ ¢ 😼 09:46, 20 March 2024 (UTC)
- Strong support no primary topic, this one has 136 views but the rocket has 7,089[[1]]. Crouch, Swale (talk) 20:26, 18 March 2024 (UTC)
- Support NOPRIMARY, MOSCAPS; The website is kairoscanada thus making "Kairos Canada" a reasonable NATURALDAB, and it does not indicate it is an acronym. -- 65.92.247.66 (talk) 03:48, 19 March 2024 (UTC)
- See also Talk:KAIROS (rocket) for an associated move request -- 65.92.247.66 (talk) 03:48, 19 March 2024 (UTC)
- Support', and definitely "Kairos" per MOS:ALLCAPS, MOS:TM. This is not an acronym, but just "marketing capitalization" like "SONY" and "SAGE Publications". — SMcCandlish ☏ ¢ 😼 09:47, 20 March 2024 (UTC)
